Client Overview:

Industry: Healthcare, Outpatient Psychiatry & Behavioral Health

Location: Regional practice, in-person and telehealth appointments

Goal: Build durable demand for appointments in a highly competitive, tightly-regulated healthcare category, while keeping paid search efficient as investment scaled.

Summary

This case study covers how a behavioral health practice partnered with our team to build a compounding organic growth engine in one of the most competitive, high-scrutiny categories in digital marketing. In six months, a coordinated SEO content program,  two new blog posts published every month, combined with a disciplined paid search strategy to grow organic-search-driven new users an average of 574% year over year, lift monthly search impressions as much as 65% within the period (and up to 880% YoY at peak), and improve paid cost-per-conversion by 15%, all while keeping ad spend efficient.

The Challenge

The client operates in mental health and psychiatric care, a vertical where search demand is high-intent but crowded, sensitive, and slow to earn trust and rankings in without a consistent publishing cadence and technical foundation behind it. Google holds health content (“Your Money or Your Life” content) to a higher bar for credibility and depth, and prior to this engagement the practice had no standing system for producing the volume and consistency of content that competing in this space requires. To build appointment demand that didn’t depend entirely on paid spend, the practice needed an SEO engine that could earn visibility around real patient questions, alongside a paid program disciplined enough to stay efficient while that organic engine matured.

Key issues:

The Strategy

We executed a 2-phase strategy spanning SEO content and paid search, built around a non-negotiable publishing cadence.

The Takeaways

This case study shows what’s possible when SEO content and paid search work in tandem inside one of the most competitive, high-scrutiny categories in digital marketing. In six months, a disciplined publishing cadence, two blog posts a month, combined with technical SEO fundamentals to grow organic visibility and new-user traffic by double- and triple-digit percentages, while paid search became more efficient, not less, as investment scaled. Together, these channels built a compounding growth engine that reduces the practice’s long-term reliance on paid spend alone to fill its schedule.
